I’m still here!

We were having some problems with our internet provider. I am still not happy but oh well, This has been a long week. We took a mini vacation in the middle of the week and went to a indoor waterpark with the kids it was fun they had a blast I have tons of pictures but I can’t fin my camera! I did not do any knitting this week! Shame on me! Like I said it was a long week and I was not feeling well for most of it! I have 5 hats waiting on me they have all been cast on but that is it!
The waterpark we went to is Kalahari in Sandusky its about 15-20 minutes from our house, http://www.kalahariresort.com/ it is pretty cool, they have an indoor surfing place and all the boys had to do it! The cutest one was Chandler he is so small they had to hold his feet in the middle of the pool and drop him and then he came flying back to the top! Joe can now do all kinds of tricks and rolls in the water! All in all it was a good time. I am hoping that I will get some knitting done today who knows! If I can find my camera I will put up some pictures of the boys body boarding! Happy knitting!!

It’s done!

I got the cable hat done!! It was so much fun to make! I used the pattern from Stitch-n-Bitch Nation. The next one I am going to do from that book is the newsboy cap. I really love using this yarn it is so soft and it is very warm! Now I think it is time to cast on Odessa and then it will be Shedir. I really hope that whoever gets this hat will love it as much as I do!!

I cast on a cabled hat last night and got about one ball into it. I am loving Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk!! I is so soft and wonderful! I am hoping that this one will be done by the end of the day depending on how I feel, I was hoping to get 3 hats done this weekend but I don’t think that is going to happen. Now I am just hoping for the one! Hope everyone is having fun with the Knitting Olympics!!

My first SP7 package

My secret pal rocks!! She made me a Happy Bunny! How cool is that! I love it! She sent 4 skeins of Berroco softwist this is some very soft yarn!! Thank you thank you!!! I have had to fight Chandler for the bunny he wants it!
In other news I have almost got Becca’s blanket done, I am going to have to do some sort of edge to it it keeps rolling up on me. I am going to be starting on a chemo cap sometime this week I am hoping to get at least 3 done this weekend. I hope that everyone has a happy knitting night!!!

Irish Hiking Scarf done!!

I just cast off the Irish hiking scarf! It was so much fun to knit! I think that I am going to have to make another one very soon! This one will be packed up and mailed to my dad. I love the yarn I used it is Gallway Colornap I am going to have to go buy more!! This is just a little post I am not feeling well so I think I am going to lay down before I start on a new chemo cap. Happy knitting!!

I got spoiled!!

I got so spoiled this weekend!! My mom came up yesterday and brought tons of goodies!! Lots of nice soft fluffy yarn for hats Happy She found some more of my grandma’s wool and shetland wool and tons of needles.
But that is not all! She made me 2 hats and bought me happy bunny socks! And 2 news circular needles! Size 13 and 4! Aunt Becky bought me a very warm happy bunny hat that say I just realized that I don’t care. I love it!! Yesterday after chemo Joe and I went to lunch and the he took me to the mall so I could get Stitch n Bitch Nation and the to the yarn store so I could get my yarn for Odessa and while I was there I got some Debbie Bliss alpaca and silk that was on sale! So soft. The yarn I got for Odessa is merino wool and cashmere very soft and light they didn’t have much of a selection so I got pink. And I am almost done with dad’s scarf it will be done by the time my mom leaves tomorrow! It has been a lot of fun to make! I will have to make another one! Well I think I am going to go take a nap! Happy knitting!

Round 2

Tomorrow is round 2 of chemo I hope that this one goes so much better than the last time! Needless to say I probably won’t be on much this weekend it takes a lot out of me. I have over half of the hiking scarf done so I am thinking that 3 hours of sitting with nothing to do tomorrow morning should give me the perfect excuse to finish it. Sadly I have not knit anything on Becca’s blanket this week so it will not be done by Sunday when my mom goes home. Oh well that is why there are post office’s! I am hoping that I won’t feel too bad tomorrow so I can go get yarn to cast on Odessa without the beads. So far we have 11 members over at Caps for a Cure! We are off to a great start! I will be participating in a cancer walk in March to raise money to help find a cure. That should be fun!
I hope that you all have a great weekend full of lots of knitting and relaxing!!!
