It’s been a while

I know it has been a while since I have posted things have been a little on the wild side here but I have been knitting like crazy and have manged to finish 2 big projects! The first one has been waiting and waiting for me to finish it I started it way bay in October or November I think. Baileigh’s sweater is finished as of last night!

I used the Cable Coat with Hood from Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino the yarn I used is Sirdar Snuggly Baby Bamboo color 134 I think it took around 9 balls and I used a size 3 needle. I love the yarn and the sweater came out great it will be a nice jacket for her this spring and summer. I was just glad to get thins one done before she out grew it!

The second on is for my ISE pal I made her a full size clapotis. I used knit picks dye your own silk merino blend and I dyed it with shades of blue and tan. I love the way it turned out.

Life has been busy with work and the boys I have running around like a crazy woman. Patrick and Jacob just had birthdays and Chandlers birthday is on Monday. I can’t believe that I have a 14 and 12 year old and that baby is going to be 9! Wow I am feeling pretty old.

I am going to be running a contest soon for my blogiversery, I am not sure what kind of contest it is going to be yet but it will be for some good stuff! So make sure you check back!

Have a great day and Happy knitting!

Insert witty title here

The last month was very uninteresting and I really haven’t had much to blog about, and really haven’t been interested in blogging but I am hopping that will change. I got my cast off 2 weeks ago and have slowly gotten back into the swing of things. Hubby is very happy about this he didn’t like going to work and then coming home to do my work 🙂

I have been doing a lot of sewing lately just a few project bags I will take pictures when I can get my batteries back from the boys they steal them for the xbox controllers. As for the sewing I have gotten back into it after a very long break the last time I used my sewing machine was for wee mans halloween costume. I will be making him a new costume this one is for his school play he will be playing a nut and needs to look like a nut so he says I told him that he didn’t have to dress up to look like  nut he did not find the humor in this. 🙂 But I did. So after much consulting with my mom we figured out how to make him a great little nut. Should be fun I only have 2 weeks to do it nothing like waiting till the last minute to get things started.

On the knittinf front I got my pals bag done for the HSKS 4 swap I am happy with the way it turned out.

I have made a lot of progress on Baileighs sweater yes its still not done. we now have front back and one sleeve I want to get this done so she can wear it a few times before she out grows it. So pictures of that will be taken as well. I am glad that I made the 9-12 month size! My Hogwarts Sock Swap pal socks are almost done as well, but I can’t take pictures of that just yet. I have started another monkey sock in STR Moonlight Revel I like how they are coming out but those are on hold so are the Jaywalkers for my bf  Trish. I joined ISE 6 and have the yarn and pattern already to go just have to start but I want to get the sweater and second sock done first. I asked my pal what kind of scarf she would make herself if she had the time and she said a modern scarf so tell me what do you think would be a good modern scarf I was thinking a clap, so what do you think?? Now if there were just more hours in the day to get everything done I would be very happy.

I am off to get some more done on the sweater! Happy knitting!!

It’s been a while

It sucks but I have been getting a lot of knitting done as a result! I have made progress on Baileigh’s sweater I have the back and one front piece done and the other side started. I hope to have it done this week. I have started my Hogwarts kit bag, and got the yarn for the Hogwarts sock swap 3 socks. I have made progress on the Jaywalkers but not much. I made 3 hats but only have pictures of the one for Hat Attack

I have 4 projects I want to finish and then I want to start on an afghan I have all the yarn and I can’t wait to get it started! I am going to make it out of Manos browns pinks and reds and I see what ever other colors I have in my stash but those will be the main colors.  There is not much else going on I need to go put up my foot! Happy knitting!

In which very little knitting is done

Happy new year! I have been a bad blogger it seems that everyone in my house has been sick and keeps passing it around. Wonderful son#1 started it off right before Christmas with strep throat and kindly passed it along to me and son#3 son #2 just a bad cold and hubby was too sick to go to my parents for Christmas. Now that everyone is on the mend I can get back to life. I gave up on the holiday knitting. There was no way to get any of it done. I did manage to whip out a little santa hat for beans everyone was calling her Santa Beans she’s too cute!

That was the last thing that I knit in 2007 and I haven’t picked up my needles yet in 2008. I have been working on some Jaywalkers for my friend Trish they were supposed to be her birthday present in October and now I think she’ll just be happy to get them.

I have come to a decission that I am going to go back to school this year. I have found a program for Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy. Classes start in Aug so unless I find something else this is what I am going to do. I am still looking but as of right now I am happy that I found this one.

I will post a pic of the jaywalkers later I need to go and get son#3 from school. Happy knitting!!

The drive home went well I am finally able to knit in the car without getting car sick. So I got half of a scarf done and I can’t remember where I put it to get a picture of it. I have been pretty busy on the knitting front. I have finished my ISE scarf except for blocking, wrote a new pattern for a cabled hat and knit 2 of them almost have the back of Baileigh’s sweater done. Thank you so much Leah! You were an awesome SP!!!

Well I think that is all today I hope to post later this week with something to show you!! Until then happy knitting!!

Since I didn’t have to work today and Chan stayed home from school with a sore throat and fever he is now sleeping so I have a chance to catch up. I have been knitting like crazy trying to get things done and I have gotten 4 hats done for the boys but only have a picture of one, a pair of baby booties for Baileigh, and made progress on a lot of other projects. So lets starts with Chandlers hat

So I am finally getting around to it

I know that I was going to post over the weekend to prove that I still do knit but then life got in the way…..so I had some time today to actually get things done and wanted to post while I had a chance. I have some exciting news my lys has agreed to sell my handpainted yarns and I have sold all but 3 out of 8 that I gave her!!  I will be dying some more this week and I will post some pictures before I hand them over to her 🙂

On with the knitting!

I have been a bad Aunt I still have not finished taterbugs baby blanket in fact I frogged it because I didn’t like the way it was turning out so I am starting that over 🙂 But I have made her a little hat

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket I have enough of this yarn left to make her some booties I can’t remember what yarn I used I lost the ball band but I know that it is made from alpaca, silk, wool it is so soft!! I have also started a sweater for her using baby bamboo from sirdir I am really liking the way it knits up and how soft it is.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket the pattern I am using is from Debbie Bliss baby cashmerino it’s the cabled hoodie so cute I can’t wait to get it done!

I made myself a new beenie out of tilly thomas rock star yarn I love this yarn  it’s very soft

I have made a couple other hats that I can’t find at the moment, I made them from Manos del Uraguay love that yarn!! I have started a sweater out of Colinette mohair and the ribbon can’t remember what it is called but it’s nice to work with

I am almost finished with my hogwarts sock swap 2 socks I just have the cuff to go and then I can get them out. For my ISE 5 pal I have started and restarted and restarted one more time and then gave up with the yarn and decided on something else so I ditched the pure silk and mohair and went for the Noro silk garden and I was looking through some pattern books for stitch’s and in my barbara walker book I found the perfect lace stitch pattern so I decided to use it just make it a little different so I don’t have much done yet but here it is
